Braun Intertec provided industrial hygiene support to the Bioenvironmental Engineering group at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base located in Tucson, Arizona. Personal air sampling was conducted to determine employee exposure to heavy metals (including Hexavalent Chromium) during welding, sanding, grinding and painting activities. Exposures to other contaminants of concern, such as benzene, toluene, hydrogen peroxide, wood dust, respirable dust, fiberglass and phenol, were also determined through personal air sampling at various shops.
