Braun Intertec, a premier engineering and environmental consulting and testing firm, is pleased to announce it has acquired Minnesota GeoServices, Inc. (MNGS), a specialty in-situ testing company. This acquisition greatly expands the firm’s in-situ testing capabilities with additional cone penetration testing (CPT) capabilities, and seismic CPT, automated vane shear testing as well as field data acquisition and rig telementary systems. Herb Garcia, PG — the founder of MNGS — has also joined the Braun Intertec team in March.

EPA Approves TCEQ Authorization of NPDES Program for Oil and Gas Discharges

On January 15, 2021, the EPA announced approval of Texas’ request to administer the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program for discharges from produced water, hydrostatic test water and gas plant effluent or oil and gas discharges within the state of Texas.
